Easy & Healthy Murungai Keerai Poriyal
Preparation Time : 15 mins | Cooking Time : 10 Mins | Serves : 2-3
Ingredients:
- Drumstick leaves- 1 bunch
- Small onion- 10 Or Regular Onion-1
- Red chili- 2
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 1 tsp (Sesame oil)
- Coconut- 2 tbp
- Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Urad dal- 1/4 tsp
How to make:
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and when the oil is shimmering, add in the mustard seeds, dry red chillies and urad dal. Let it splutter and wait till the dal turns golden brown.
- Add in the finely chopped onions and the salt. Saute till the onions are soft and slightly brown.
- Add in the cleaned, washed and dried drumstick leaves. Saute in medium flame until all the moisture has escaped and the mixture is completely dry.
- Turn off the stove/Gas range and Add in the shredded coconut and saute briefly for a minute.
- Serve hot with rice.
